Man Stabbed in Violent Break-In at Ex-Girlfriend’s Home in Palm Beach County

A man was stabbed by an attacker who broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).

On June 28, around 11:49 p.m., PBSO deputies responded to a stabbing incident.

When they arrived, they found the victim, who was being taken to Delray Medical Center for his injuries.

The victim told deputies he had gone to the backyard to smoke a cigarette and met Thomas Brooks, 34, the ex-boyfriend of a woman living there.

They started arguing, which turned physical when Brooks pushed the victim and forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home.

Inside, Brooks allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper left arm. He also threatened his ex-girlfriend, saying, “I’ll kill you.”

The victim told deputies that he then informed Brooks he was calling 911, which made Brooks flee the scene.
