UPDATE: The 2018 Royal Palm Beach Seafood Festival has been rescheduled to June 2nd and 3rd due to the tropical weather system affecting south Florida. The forecast for heavy rains necessitated a change of dates. The event hours will remain the same. Saturday, June 2nd 11 am – 8 pm and Sunday, June 3rd 11 am – 6 pm.Life is all about growth and change, and the upcoming Royal Palm Beach Seafood Festival is no exception. Born in downtown West Palm Beach as a one-day event, the popular seafood festival has now grown to run two full days and has moved to the beautiful and spacious 167-acre Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach.
The festival runs Saturday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The family-friendly event will feature a variety of fresh and delectable seafood dishes. Plenty of ice-cold tasty libations will also be available for purchase.
Festival organizer, POTTC Events, says landlubbers need not fear, as there will be plenty of non-seafood menu selections on hand to choose from as well. The festival will also have several big-top shade tents for dining comfort.
The two-day event will also play host to live entertainment, interesting exhibits and displays, an assortment of arts & crafts vendors and an interactive Kids’ Fun Zone.
A custom car show is also planned, and what seafood event would be complete without pirates and pirate ships?
There will also be plenty of free parking.
Commons Park is at 11600 Poinciana Blvd. in Royal Palm Beach. For more information on the event, go online to royalpalmbeachseafoodfestival.com.
