If recent business expansion and new construction around town are any indication, the health of our local economy seems to be just fine. Here’s a quick rundown on what’s been taking place over the past couple of months:
Wycliffe Golf & Country Club
4650 Wycliffe Country Club Blvd., Wellington
A complete renovation of Wycliffe Golf & Country Club will begin this spring, including a new signature restaurant, lobby bar and lounge, refurbished banquet room, updated spa and fitness center and outdoor pool pavilion with soft seating and deck space.
Eighty-one percent of Wycliffe’s voting membership approved the renovation.
“The overwhelming response from our members supporting this renovation was astounding,” says Rob Martin, Wycliffe COO and general manager.
Village Music Wellington
10410 Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington
Village Music Wellington recently moved into brand new digs and celebrated the grand opening of its expanded music center.
“We’re now four times larger with much more to offer the community,” says co-owner Donna Willey.
The new 4,000-square-foot location features glass-enclosed VIP rooms for high-end products and a live-music stage for concerts, clinics and events. There’s even a café featuring artisan food, gourmet coffees, craft beer and wine selections.
Village Music also offers a full-service workshop and service center for repairs, setup work and support.
Town Southern Apartments
11020 Town Circle, Royal Palm Beach
Construction is currently underway for Town Southern, a 392-unit apartment complex in Royal Palm Beach.
The 29-acre project, developed by a division of Miami-based Related Group, will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with attached garages.
According to Related’s website, interior features include European cabinetry, quartz granite counter tops and designer bath vanities with custom-framed mirrors.
Common-area amenities will include a private theater, 24-hour gym, steam room, WiFi-equipped conference room and a yoga and virtual spinning room.
The project is on the south side of Southern Boulevard just west of State Road 7.
