17th annual Walk for the Animals to be held at CityPlace

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 17th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals will be held Saturday, March 10 at CityPlace in downtown West Palm Beach.

The walk begins at 9 a.m. with check-in and registration, live entertainment and a free breakfast. At 10:15 a.m., after opening ceremonies, participants and their favorite leashed pets will enjoy a scenic one-mile walk that begins and ends near Cheesecake Factory.

Pet costume contests will also be held at CityPlace’s center stage. Categories include Best Dressed, Most Creative, Owner/Pet Look-A-Like and Best In Show. There will also be live entertainment, local vendors and a silent auction and raffle area with great prizes.

Participants are encouraged to pre-register to walk and form teams. Each registrant who raises at least $35 will receive a free T-shirt and a special gift for their pet. Awards will be given out that day for the top fund-raising team and runner up.

All proceeds benefit Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. For more information on the walk, go online to WalkWithPeggy.org or call (561) 530-6057.
