BBQ, Brews & Blues kicks off Independence Day celebration

Who says you have to wait until July 4th to start celebrating Independence Day?

Come join the fun at the 4th annual BBQ, Brews & Blues in West Palm Beach’s Historic Northwest District Saturday, July 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. The free family-friendly event will feature popular barbecue vendors and a lineup of soulful blues on Rosemary Avenue, just three blocks north of Clematis Street.

There will be free samples of southern soul food and craft beer tastings by local vendors. Barbecue favorites include pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, chicken, fried pork chops, sweet potato pie, boiled peanuts and more. Plenty of sweet treats will be available as well.

Cece Teneal will headline the evening’s entertainment. A soulful, blues-centric soprano with a soul-stirring voice, Teneal has shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Joe Cocker and B.B. King. Local bands J.M. and the Sweets and Dave Scott and The Reckless Shots will also perform.

Kids’ activities include basketball, soccer and carnival games.
