PBC’s libraries offering free lunches this summer

Palm Beach County will partner with the School District of Palm Beach County to serve free lunches and snacks to children during the summer at seven branches of the county’s library system.

The service, for all children through age 18, will run June 6 through July 28, excluding holidays and weekends. The participating branch libraries are in The Acreage, Belle Glade, Greenacres, Jupiter, Lantana, West Palm Beach on Summit Boulevard and Wellington.

According to the USDA, the summer food program ensures that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
