Hanley Center annual picnic a family affair

Nearly 200 guests were seen horsing around at the International Polo Club recently, all in support of the Hanley Center Foundation’s 21st annual Family Picnic.

From a polo exhibition to a petting area for miniature horses, the equestrian theme was evident at the benefit, which spotlights the foundation’s substance abuse prevention efforts. The Polo Club created an opportunity for over-the-top interactive activities, like hamster balls, an inflatable obstacle course, and a make-and-take dessert station.

“By fund-raising for our prevention and education department, we are able to support more students in public and private schools all across Florida,” said Kae Jonsons, CEO of the Hanley Center Foundation.

“Hanley Center Foundation does an incredible job of educating our community and raising awareness about the effects of addiction,” said picnic chairwoman Michelle Diffenderfer.
